Why are my emails not delivering?
Email Service Provider protects inboxes from spam.
Your inbox has a trustworthy score.
Your domain also has a reputation.
You don't want to use your main email for large outbound email campaigns. You need burners.
Use dedicated domains for cold outbound.
Best setup is to have burner emails with burner domains.
- Buy cheap domains.
- Setup workspace with domain.
- Create inboxes
- Warm up inboxes to improve it's score.
Make sure:
- forward to your main domain (so you don't need to have website up in multiple places)
- SPF in DNS (if using gmail https://support.google.com/a/answer/10684623?hl=en (opens in a new tab))
- DKIM in DNS (log into Google Admin, search for "DKIM", generate record, add to DNS)
- DMARC (use https://easydmarc.com/ (opens in a new tab) to set it up once DKIM and SPF are showing as green)
- In DNS do the Google Workspace verification that's pre populated
To land in the inbox, ESPs need to determine that your email account + sending domain is relevvant and legit.
A brand new inbox, will be 'cold' and more likely to be marked as spam.
Warming up your inboxes:
- improves deliverability of your cold email accounts
- lowers likelihood of 'burning' through an account - outreach email accounts stay alive longer
